This global observance, coordinated by EURORDIS and founded in 2008, was designed to unite communities worldwide to highlight the challenges faced by over 300 million people living with rare diseases, along with their families and caregivers.

Under the powerful theme 'More Than You Can Imagine', this year’s campaign emphasizes that rare diseases, individually uncommon but collectively affecting millions, demand greater acknowledgement in healthcare, research, diagnosis, and social opportunities. It serves as a call to action for earlier diagnoses, global collaboration, and health systems equipped to handle rare conditions.

Rare Disease Day reminds us that behind every statistic is a unique story of resilience and hope.
